A Registered Music Therapist uses music intentionally to support a child’s development, wellbeing, and connection with others. Music therapy is a clinical, evidence-based modality that uses rhythm, melody, movement, and interaction to work toward specific therapeutic goals.
Sessions might involve singing, playing instruments, moving to music, listening, or co-creating musical experiences. A music therapist carefully tailors each session to the child’s needs, such as improving speech and language, developing motor skills, supporting emotional regulation, or encouraging social engagement.
