Leah holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Nutrition, as well as a Postgraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. She is an accredited practising dietitian and accredited practising sports dietitian. 

With over 10 years of experience in paediatric nutrition and dietetics, Leah is highly skilled in managing the dietary aspects of Paediatric specific gastrointestinal conditions like coeliac disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, food intolerances, functional gastrointestinal disorders such as constipation and irritable bowel syndrome.

She is a senior clinical dietitian at Perth Children’s Hospital and has previously worked at Evelina Children’s Hospital and Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London.

Managing constipation in children, as well as mealtime issues like fussy eating, growth faltering and healthy eating behaviours for weight management. She also has a special interest in sports dietetics.

As a parent, Leah is dedicated to working and improving child health and wellbeing. She enjoys creating practical, affordable meal plans for her clients in a bid to teach them sustainable eating habits. She is a lover of running and mountain climbing, as well as baking homemade sourdough bread.

The Clinical Guidance Committee advise Baby Steps on all clinical matters effecting the health practitioners within our centre. It’s members gather together to discuss and develop guidelines relating to:

Meetings are held several times a year, or at the request of Baby Steps for specific clinical advice. It is lead by a chairperson and educational coordinator, elected by the group of participating health practitioners.
