Lucy Tangney has an extensive background in exercise physiotherapy, having completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy with a double major in Human Movement and Psychology. 

After working in the areas of both Health Promotion and Exercise Rehabilitation she completed her Physiotherapy degree and then commenced work in private practice.

After her initial studies, Lucy undertook postgraduate courses specifically in Physiotherapy management of pelvic floor dysfunction and has spent many years working on the maternity ward at SJOG hospital.

Lucy has worked with Genesis Physiotherapy for almost 15 years and has a genuine interest in helping women to achieve their exercise goals postnatally.

Personally she enjoys regular exercise, in particular playing floorball. She has an active, busy family with three children and a beloved dog Sammy.

The Clinical Guidance Committee advise Baby Steps on all clinical matters effecting the health practitioners within our centre. It’s members gather together to discuss and develop guidelines relating to:

Meetings are held several times a year, or at the request of Baby Steps for specific clinical advice. It is lead by a chairperson and educational coordinator, elected by the group of participating health practitioners.
