Personable and easy to talk to, she listens carefully to parents, and approaches each child with empathy and calm professionalism. Families value her clear communication, steady judgement and the quiet confidence that comes from deep surgical experience. As of 2026, Dr Japinder operates at Perth Children’s Hospital and Joondalup Hospital (both public and private lists).

The Clinical Guidance Committee advise Baby Steps on all clinical matters effecting the health practitioners within our centre. It’s members gather together to discuss and develop guidelines relating to:

  • The COVID Pandemic and adherence to public health regulations
  • Education and professional development for participating health practitioners
  • The appropriate response to patient complaints of a clinical nature
  • Optimal ways to support the health practitioners at Baby Steps

Meetings are held several times a year, or at the request of Baby Steps for specific clinical advice. It is lead by a chairperson and educational coordinator, elected by the group of participating health practitioners.
