Baby Steps Paediatricians: Currently at Capacity but Here to Support You At Baby Steps Health Centre, we have two dedicated Paediatricians whose schedules are currently full. Their books are set to reopen in the new year, but we understand how important timely support is, especially when concerns about your child’s development can feel overwhelming. To bridge this gap, we offer the Developmental Progress Consultation—an initiative designed to reduce parents' stress by providing prompt access to specialised care. This consultation is led by GPs specially trained in child development, offering families guidance and peace of mind while waiting for a Paediatrician’s appointment if needed. Once you’ve been seen at Baby Steps, if further specialist support is needed, you’ll be fast tracked for a priority appointment with the Paediatricians at Baby Steps.

Waitlists are a bummer

If you require an appointment for your child, please email a detailed GP referral to bookings@babystepshealth.com.au. All referrals received are triaged by our paediatricians therefore we cannot guarantee your referral will be accepted. Our current anticipated wait time for an appointment is minimum of 7 – 9 months. Paediatrician appointments cannot be made on our online portal. We are also happy to answer any questions you have, simply reach out by email or phone.
