Paediatricians at Baby Steps

Paediatrics covers the common and the obscure medical and developmental conditions that may arise in the early years of life. If you have a Paediatrician referral, please email it to bookings@babystepshealth.com.au for triage. Please note: submitting a referral does not guarantee a place on our waitlist.

While you wait, it may be appropriate to book a Developmental Progress Consultation with one of the GPs at Baby Steps. 

These appointments are ideal for families who:

Need support or strategies while waiting to see a specialist
Want help understanding which assessments or therapies are relevant
Have questions about reports, referrals, or developmental concerns

If you’re feeling unsure about your child’s development — or wondering whether further support is needed — the GPs at Baby Steps can guide you. They can escalate priority cases, help you prepare for assessments, and ensure nothing gets missed while you wait.

For questions about bookings, fees, or appointment types, our admin team is happy to assist.

For all clinical or developmental concerns, we recommend booking in with a Baby Steps GP, or your current therapist or Paediatrician.

The child development system is currently overwhelmed — and we know how stressful that is for parents. At Baby Steps, we care for thousands of families going through this same process. We are doing our best to support each one, and to be part of the solution for the WA community.

All medical referrals for Paediatrician appointments can be emailed to bookings@babystepshealth.com.au. All referrals received will be triaged by a Baby Steps clinician and a response sent back to you within 8 weeks. Please note – emailing a referral through does NOT guarantee an appointment.
